Masterclass - Guerrilla Games

My goal was to create from scratch a weapon that could be attached to one of the RIGS as part of a specified loadout. RIGS is a sports FPS set roughly 50 years into the future, where you are the pilot of huge, powerful fighting machines. The overall result is a weapon that should attach to one of these RIGS.

A part of the assignment brief was to create at least 2 LOD levels doing a 50% reduction on each LOD. The gun on the left had the highest poly count where as the gun far back right has the least which can be seen in the wire frame image. Using Maya's reduce function warped my UV's or broke the mesh sometimes so for a more reliable approach and quick solution I used Simplygon.

Unity Beauty Renders

Final output was 5 beauty renders in the the game engine Unity. I had also light the scene in Unity and plugged in my Substance textures.

Project Pipeline Workflow:

2.5D Compositing and Matte Painting

The aim of this project was to create an individual piece of work that involves the creation of an environment shot (interior or exterior), or still life shot (a bowl of fruit, a vase of flowers etc...), with a moving camera, using digital 2.5D matte painting techniques.

Major Project: What Plot?

What Plot? Is a shot story animation that portrays the relationship of two characters (Libby and Ben) told though their love of the theatre. This medium is a creative outlet in expressing the inspiring nature of storytelling and we explore their favourite types of stories as they unfold throughout the story. The narrative takes the children through three story genres; Superhero, Sci-Fi and Fairy tale with cardboard and paper built sets reflecting each change in scenery.
